Vesper Solitaire is classic Klondike solitaire, the card game most people simply call solitaire, laid out on a twilight table. Play it free in your browser on a phone, a tablet or a computer. There's nothing to download and no account to make.

How to play solitaire

The goal is to build four piles, one for each suit, from ace up to king. The seven columns hold the rest of the cards, and only the top card of each column starts face up.

• In the columns, stack cards in descending order with alternating colors: a red 9 goes on a black 10.
• You can move a face-up card together with every card on top of it. When you clear a face-down card, it turns face up.
• Only a king, or a run that starts with a king, can go into an empty column.
• Click or tap the stock to turn cards over. When it runs out, tap the empty spot to turn the pile back over.
• Once every card is face up, the game finishes itself.

Draw 1 or Draw 3

Draw 1 turns one card at a time and is the relaxed way to play. Draw 3 turns three cards at a time but only the top one can be played, so you have to plan ahead. Switch between them from the bar above the table.

Tips

Turn over the face-down cards in the longest columns first. Don't empty a column unless you have a king ready to fill it. Use Undo freely, and when you're stuck, Hint shows you a move. Double-click a card on a computer, or tap it on a phone, to send it to the best spot.
